All other cheaper brands are just simply are not the same... the secret is not ony in the right length/sharpness/thickness of its wooden pins, but in "just right" ballance of hardness/softness of the padding that bouncing between hair and brush. They last for upto 3 years for long hair. This particular travel version is a small brush, be aware, because seller does not bring it to your attention. This one is good only for short hairs, or as a travel option. For someone with havy long hair this model will not do well. The large size of the same model is good for long and short hair. You can't get wrong with this product.
