(More customer reviews)I really like this stuff. I like it better than the John Frieda Ocean spray, which was too oily for me (I have normal textured hair--neither fine nor coarse--that is straight, silky and with oily roots) I got my hair layered recently in an effort to get it to do more than just lie there like a limp curtain and I've found this styling spray to be a big help in achieving beachy hair. I wait until my hair is damp, then spray this all over, put my shoulder-length hair up into two ridiculous little buns on either side of my head (I make two to achieve extra-wavy hair), secure with hair elastics (could never figure bobby pins out) and leave my hair to dry while I do other stuff. Sometimes to speed things up I blast my hair (still up in buns) with a hairdryer. Then I take it down, shake it out, spritz some light-hold hairspray all over and voila! Casual, messy, beachy waves that last all day (and my hair usually refuses to hold styles). Of course, if you have dry or damaged hair, then this is not for you. I would also recommend using a clarifying shampoo at least once per week because this stuff can build up in your hair--there IS salt in it after all.
