(More customer reviews)As you natural brunettes know, going blonde is a challenge if your hair color is medium-dark brown. When doing your roots it is hard for them to lift correctly and often result in reddish tones when using regular hair dye. (unless of course you use bleach which is so damaging.) I was skeptical of this product at first as I had tried others that claimed to lift darker shades and they failed to do so withour leaving behind a red hue.. But this really worked! Now, you can't go a bleach blonde or pale color but a natural medium or dark blonde, on the golden side, yes.. I have used this only on my roots and cannot say how well it would work for all over application. (I would advise bleaching if you want a true blonde shade without any red if you are anything darker than a dark blonde- very light brown) But for root touch ups, can't beat this. Also, it has no ammonia and they have never tested on animals. And to boot, it's cheap. What more can you ask for?
