(More customer reviews)I have straight, somewhat thin Asian hair, and American Crew Forming Creme is one of the better products I've used. Compared to other AC products I've tried (Fiber, Pomade and Texture Creme), Forming Creme has medium-strong hold (slightly less than Fiber, but stronger than Pomade or Texture Creme), and medium shine (more than Fiber, less than Pomade).
The Forming Creme is a white, thick creme. Compared with Fiber, the closest product, it is easier to work with and apply. However, Forming Creme does not smell nearly as nice. It's important only to use a little at a time; otherwise it make hair look greasy and smell like the inside of a salon. When it dries it loses some hold but keeps hair natural looking.
For short hair I'd prefer Fiber, but Forming Creme is a good option for longer hair with more shine.
