Although it's sold at Whole Foods and cleverly packaged in a green box, it contains the following ingredients: WATER, NONOXYNOL-6, NONOXYNOL-4, ETHANOLAMINE, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, EDTA, SODIUM METABISULFITE, WALNUT EXTRACT, RHUBARB EXTRACT, CINCHONA EXTRACT, P-PHENYLENEDIAMINE, RESORCINOL, O-AMINOPHENOL, M-AMINOPHENOL. GLYCOL DEVELOPER: WATER, GLYCOL, HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, ETIDRONIC ACID, EDTA. One of the ingredients, P-PHENYLENEDIAMINE, is a known carcinogen and has been rated 10 out of 10 on the toxicity to humans scale. Whole Foods sells this haircolor along with other supposedly "natural" or "non-toxic" hair coloring products, yet all of them are just as laden with chemicals as the mainstream alternatives (with a bit of plant extracts added on to give the idea they're much better for you). Please check the Cosmetics Database and inform yourself - don't rely on empty claims and clever packaging.
